In Bradford, UK, bassline music has developed from its roots at Niche nightclub in Sheffield to a distinct, regionally-specific sound and genre in its own right.

Shot over the summer of 2023, Bassline explores the relationship between place and music. Featuring established, pioneering artists as well as young, up-and-coming artists, including MC Chippy, K13, MC Innes, MC Rayner, KAV, Trusstee and Mase Hancock. This film investigates why and how bassline music has developed and persisted in urban West Yorkshire.
