Jonathan Surridge is a visual anthropologist, non-fiction filmmaker and audio producer with a focus on the relationships between music, personal expression, and identity. He takes an ethnographic approach to his work and emphasises collaborative methodologies.

He completed a BA in Music at the University of Leeds in 2022 and most recently graduated with an MA in Visual Anthropology from the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester. In 2019 he was awarded the Constance Farrington Brass Prize from the Royal College of Music for his chamber and orchestral tuba playing.

Currently based in the north west of England, he is developing independent film and research projects, as well as collaborating with peers to produce creative audio-visual content.
